Anyone can travel, all you need to do is…

start travelling. I know it sounds simple, but the hardest part about travelling long term is leaving in the first place. There are always things that make it hard, or things that we are reluctant to leave. For us, we both had good jobs in the city that we had to leave (my wife worked evenings and weekends, I worked during the day).
The main one we’ve heard is that we couldn’t with school aged kids. I mean, who would educate them? Well, we home school them. They are not having the sort of education they’d have in a school in Melbourne. We think it is a pretty special sort of education, and we are so happy for our kids that they are getting to experience this lifestyle. For example, next month we will head up the north coast and spend six months living in an Aboriginal community in the Kimberley region of far north Western Australia – one of the most remote places in Australia. Places on the map of Australia are not just names to them, they are living places full of memories and ideas. Their education is very rich in experiences.
