Adelaide zoo has two Flamingos on display, on the first day we only saw one bird with its head in the water and the other with its head on its back under the feathers. We saw the same on our second trip to the zoo. But on the third day they were standing up flapping their wings and moving around. The Flamingos are the oldest animals at Adelaide zoo with one of them around 70 and the other around 80 years old.

  2. I didn’t know a flamingo has such a long life span. Possibly even surpassing a human.
The pic of the Flam with its head on the back looks pretty hilarious.
Wonder if it is snoozing or preening under the feathers.
